Now that the frames were fixed to the keel, and were made in" good shape "to be temporary structures, it is possible begin to lay the planking. The wooden boat is not just a roof (watertight, if possible) dell'ossatura, but a part of it. The first table, called "boundary", is fundamental to keeping the boat as a whole, and to reinforce it is coupled to another table inside of the ribs, known as "dormant".
After being cut, again in the drawing, the mahogany table for the "wall" is immersed in hot water for a few hours. Then, still wet, the aft end is applied with the strictest in the stern, neat and tidy after the boat is folded along, thanks to the flexibility achieved by immersion in water. At this point, we have to establish that the ordinances are in place, straight and aligned, the board is drilled and nailed to the frames, and the table becomes the "boundary" of the boat. The procedure is repeated on the board, carefully measuring the symmetry of the table, and join the round-Straight and left to the stem.
